These walls and faces are getting old

Mom and Dad,
thanks for giving me the freedom to make my own decisions,
it taught me to be more responsible and independent.

Some people just don't realize how lucky they are,
but that doesn't mean I should feel sad for myself.

Note to self:
Stop feeling envy of others and do your part,
everything will pay off soon.

I've been thinking too much,
a little way too much for my own good.

"I'm going home,
back to the place where I belong,
and where your love has always been enough for me,
I'm not running from, no,
I think you got me all wrong,
I don't regret this life I chose for me."

It's all in your head

"As for me, Headers are pretty much personal.
Unconsciously we're judged by our header.
It's like a first impression to me, I suppose."

- Joseph Lee

I've been hunting around for a nice header since I started blogging. It seems like the best part of one's blog is the way the header present itself. Looking through my friends' blogs and all... I find that Ivan has the nicest header of us all.

I left my header blank for the first few months after creating my territory, just my blog name and description. Then one day in college I happened to be blogging about MJ's death with Jason, I randomly asked him, "How did you do your header?"

He answered me with an ridiculously simple answer, without even looking up. I guess you can even guess what it is.

"Google."

And thanks to Google, I have found my very first header that you first see when you view this blog.

I even thought of using this,

But then, Shen did it before I could. I had nothing to blame on except for myself for being too slow. Well, whatever.

Just about last week, I received an email from Joseph. I have no idea how he got my email address, to be honest.

Yeap, a blog header is the grand prize (:

Seriously, I've wanted my very very own header so badly all along. Why?, you ask?

And believe it or not, my one and only reason is awesome-ly simple and breathtaking-ly true.

Zero plagiarism.

I bet you don't want your friend or anyone else to go like, "Hey, you got your blog header from www.whatever-it-may-be.com right?" or even worse: You stumbled upon a random blog that has the same header as yours. *Thunder strikes*

You susah payah typed in "Blog header" on Google.com and hundreds/thousands of all the websites were listed out. Going through all the trouble of choosing/clicking/downloading/cropping and in the end, you still can't completely call the header as your own. And like what the man himself said, it's gonna be personal!

Some people are even using typography as their header. Interesting.

Or some people are a little bit more original, uploading their own photos to create their own header. But the problem is, isn't this method a little too popular and it's becoming a trend already?

I would love to create my own, unfortunately the lack of knowledge of doing so is what pulling me back.

My first day back at college isn't that bad after all.

"Oh kids don't fight it,
you gotta keep on shining,
you ain't no sidekick,
get your bike and ride it,
keep on climbing,
reach the top and sign it,
life goes by quick so you don't let the time tick."

Inch by inch, Yard by yard

I was thinking to myself,
no other one can treat me better,
and I'm sure that I want to be with you,
as I close my eyes to sleep in your arms.

The dogs ran out and nearly bit someone again.

And the queen wants to send them away.

College starting in a weeks time,
going to suffer again for the spring semester.

A new year, a new start,
and I realized something,
all hopes seem to be on you as you grow older,
and as the eldest in the family,
I think I know how that feels.

But the funny thing is,
it's not academically.

Walking up the stairs,
I'm on my way :)

"One step at a time,
that's how it's gotta be from now on,
and the reason or rhyme,
for packing up or carrying on."

We've just begun

Last year's wishes are this year's apologies.

They say time flies when we enjoy every single moment. 2009 for me was filled with ups and downs. Death of loved ones, failed 2 subjects in 1 semester, got my license, creating a change in the college, improving myself better with trying out new things, ... etc.

Now that 2010 is here, I'm older, I have higher expectations, I have more responsibilities, I have more difficult subjects waiting for me to complete, I have to deal with more assignments, and cravings just cannot stop increasing as always.

Recap of Year 2009 Resolutions

1. Maintain CGPA OF 2.5 and above.

Hmm. Studied so hard but only ended up with a 2.45. Really should try harder.

2. Get a driving license.

The whole process freaking took me 2 months to complete! Passed during the month of November. Phew. And my P license ends on the 11/11/2011. Funny huh?

3. Run every SC events well.

Vice president of student council is never an easy post to take on. Let alone planning and organizing events. Events went not too bad, obviously still need improvement here and there. Now I've passed down the post, no longer have to bear the stress anymore. The best part? Experience.

4. Spend less than RM500 per month.

It was hard at first few months. Now? Spending around RM400+, still not too bad. How did I do it? It's easy, just don't eat so much.

5. Become the best in Sudoku.

Not the best, but definitely improved a whole lot. Tough ones are not a problem anymore :)

6. Get a new purse.

I did. From House of Leather. It smells pretty good too.

7. Collect bestselling novels.

Both books and e-books. Few collections added. Now I'm into murder books, still looking around for John Grishams'.

8. Get a pair of new Nike sneakers.

Choosing a pair of awesome shoes is not easy. After months of look-around I finally settled down with Air Max 1, Safari collection, purple :)
It's really something that wows the crowd ;)
Love the orange interior, retro siot!

Final Result: 5 out of 8, not bad eh?

Time really flies. It's already the first day of 2010!

Year 2010 Resolutions

1. My very own new mountain bike.

Yea, my GTH Rainstorm died. My cravings for cycling hasn't gone down to anywhere yet.

2. CGPA of above 2.5

Slight improvement still okay right?

3. A pair of awesome Nike sneakers.

Before you start rolling your eyes again, let me say first, I've always wanted to collect a pair each year for my collection :) I'm still the Nike freak anyway.

4. Improve my driving skills.

I still need improvement on auto cars.
Don't look at me like that, thank you very much.

5. H-E-A-L-T-H

A medical check-up. And I really have to get a blood test. Just to be sure if I am a Type B negative. *fingers crossed*

6. Make SMBC a success.

SEGi Morning Business Club has already obtained more recognitions we could have ever imagined ever since we founded the club on July '09, but obviously it is not enough. Looking forward to work closely and partner up with all different companies/organizations. Recognitions from Cradle Investment Fund, Kenanga Berhad, MoneyTree, Youth Entrepreneur Malaysia, TryThisOut!, and soon NAZA, really motivated us and for sure many more to come!

Six on my list isn't that bad, right?

Happy new year everyone!
